Approval Gained for Listed Building and Advertisement Consent at 112 St Mary Street

GJP have successfully secured Listed Building and Advertisement Consent for various internal and external works at 112 St Mary Street, in Cardiff City Centre.

The Grade II Listed building comprises a previous 19th Century Bank with significant historical features including its elaborate stucco frontage. It is located within the St Mary Street Conservation Area, and the Central Business Area, as identified under the Cardiff Local Development Plan.

The proposals allow the intended occupiers (KFC) to operate from the premises, whilst conserving the special architectural and historical features of the building. Efforts were made by the applicants to provide a sensitively designed scheme, that minimises any harmful impacts to the building, whilst securing the economic viability and long-term sustainability of the historic asset.
