Approval Gained for Conversion of Old Pump House

GJP secured full planning permission in June 2019 for the redevelopment of the existing vacant reservoir building in Herefordshire, to create a new residential dwelling. The proposal will bring the building back into beneficial use through the retention of the existing pump house building, with a modern glazed extension added.

The use of additional glazing and internal works would see both the lower ground and ground floors used to provide habitable rooms. The exceptional design by Loyn+Co Architects includes green roofs and a sunken extension, to ensure the development would have an acceptable impact on the surrounding landscape. The development is to be constructed in both concrete and glazing, to allow residents to look out onto a courtyard where a water feature is in place.
